KNES Armin built his 1/144 Revell A-90 Ekranoplane years ago and he has just finished rebuilding it to a much higher level of detail.  He cut off the nose to display it in the open position to help show off the scratchbuilt cargo bay he also added to his Ekranoplane.  The rebuilt model is quite the detail rich  model of this famous Russian aircraft.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has instruction sheets up for the new 1/48 F-100 Skyblazers decal sheet....Red/White and Blue - Stars and Stripes in all it's Glory.....you have to check these out!!!  Bob also has some news on the upcoming sheets.

Rene Loben has done a fantastic job building this 1/48 Italeri/Cobra Company HH-60J Jayhawk.  The conversion set from Cobra Company made this project so much easier and the US Coast Guard markings always look great on any model.

Eugenio E. Alés is here with something very special.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Douglas F-4D-1 Skyray in VF-84 Jolly Rogers "What if" markings.  I must say VF-84 markings look great on the Skyray.  Eugenio did a perfect job weathering and shading the paint job to make this Skyray look very realistic.

Artur Oslizlo joins us with another of his masterpieces.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Bf 109E-7 with  SBS-Model cockpit, Master Gun barrels and Quickboost exhaust pipes.  Of course what really makes this 109 stand out is the excellent job Artur did building and finishing it.  I always enjoy seeing Artur's latest model.

Benner is here with his flawless 1/48 Airfix GR1A Jaguar.  Benner did his Jaguar as a Gulf War RAF bird and he includes history about the aircraft as well as very helpful info on building a Gulf War Jaguar.  Wow....I love how this one turned out.

I have a product article for the new 1/32 Ju 87D-5N Standard Night Exhaust from QuickBoost.

I have a product article for the new 1/48 Macchi C. 202 resin cockpit set from SBS Model.

 Falklands/Malvinas War Anniversary

I hope you all enjoyed yesterdays little April Fools Day homepage prank.  My apologies to the newer members that didn't realize that clicking any link would have taken them to the ARC homepage.

Massimiliano Bianchi starts off today's update with his big 1/32 Revell Hawker Hunter.  Large scale models such as this Hunter leave plenty of options for detailing and Massimiliano took advantage of this and used the Eduard PE for the Radar, Avionics Bay and parachute housing before finishing it off in the markings of the Oman Air Force.  Very nicely done Massimiliano.

David Rapasi is here with another of his jaw dropping models.  This is his 1/48 Monogram PBY Catalina finished off in the faded weathered paint that David does so expertly.

Shawn "Phantom" Weiler is well respected here on ARC and today he joins us with #120 and 121 Phantoms he has on ARC.  These are the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4C/D Phantoms in USAF markings.  It's great to see them Shawn.

Angelo M Picardo has turned out an exceptionally well detailed 1/72 Revell Westland Sea King HU.5.  Angelo added a set from Eduard, then added plenty of his own scratchbuilt detailing before finishing off his SAR Sea King in weathering and Model Alliance decals.  Wow and all in 1/72.....it doesn't get much nicer than this.

I have a product article for the new 1/8 Clear Acrylic Display Case from Fightertown Decals.

I have a product article for the new 1/48 SJU-8/A Ejection seat (A-7E late) from Aires.

  Canada - CAF Birthday

  United Kingdom  - RAF Birthday

Happy April Fools Day!!!!

Giannis Doxas begins today with a model that you really need to check out.  This is his 1/48 Classic Airframes RF-5A Freedom Fighter which is LOADED with scratchbuilt detail.  The Classic Airframes kit is not the best fitting kit but Giannis turned it into a masterpiece.  It is finished in Hellenic Air Force markings.  Wow.......I do like the look of this model.

Istvan Havril added some scratchbuilt details to his 1/48 Eduard Yak-3.  He then gave it full but subtle weathering and then finished it off in the colourful markings for a fighter during WW2.  Very nicely done Istvan.

Jean-Charles Goddet joins us today with his perfect looking 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18F.  Jean-Charles used resin resin wings from Wolfpack and then finished his Super Hornet in the markings for the legendary VFA-103 Jolly Rogers.

Kees Kuyper joins us with his interesting 1/72 Matchbox Zero.  This one is wearing Luftwaffe markings and has a BMW engine, Kees  tells the story in his article.

Nick Moore is here with a product article for the 1/48 Hasegawa Focke-Wulf FW190A-5 'GRAF' w/Figure that is  available from HobbyLink Japan

Here's a first look at the instruction sheet of the new 1/48 Venomous Widows P-61's at War Part 1 decal sheet from Zotz DecalsThis is decal sheet ZTZ48/035 and will be available in the second week of April.  This decal sheet includes sexy noseart.
