This latest release from Lifelike Decals features four different P-51's.  This is Part4 of  a series dealing with the P-51 and this decal sheet includes one P-51B in olive drab and three P-51D's in bare metal and all four aircraft were flown by very aces.

The 4 aircraft all have noseart and include the following Mustangs:

  • P-51B-5-NA, 43-6913 flown by Capt. Dominic S. "Don" Gentile, 336FS/4FG from Debden/ England on April 8th to 13th 1944.

  • P-51D-30-NA, 44-75025 flown by Capt. Dominic S. "Don" Gentile in the war bond tour of the States, "Army Air Forces Fair" show at Wright Patterson Field, October 13th to 21st 1945.

  • P-51D-10-NA, 44-14292 flown by Lt. Col. Claibourne H. Kinnad, Dep. CO 4FG from Debden/ England on September 1944.  Aircraft is covered in Tiger Stripes.

  • P-51D-15-NA, 44-15103 flown by Col. Dick Rowland, CO 348FG from Luzon/ Philippines in early 1945.

The quality of these decals is of very good quality.  The decals themselves are clearly printed and in perfect register.  Some decals come in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration.  Also included is a masking template for aircraft #1.

This is an exciting decal sheet with an exciting variety of some of the top American Aces and I like the inclusion of one Aces from the PTO to add a further layer of variety.  The Tiger Striped Mustang is particularly intriguing.

You can purchase these decals either directly from Lifelike Decals at fax number is +81-3-5680-6733, and e-mail is lifelike@eos.ocn.ne.jp. or from HobbyLink Japan.

I would like to thank Lifelike Decals for providing me with this product sample.
