This latest release from Lifelike Decals features four different Me 109's.  This is Part 5 of  a series dealing with the Me 109 in Luftwaffe markings from the May of 1940 in Belgium to May of 1945 in Finland.

The 4 aircraft include everything from an E-3 with the rounded canopy to a G-14/AS aircraft with ETO camo.  All the planes on this sheet are ETO aircraft.

  • Messerschmitt Me 109E-3  flown by Maj.  Ernst Freiherr von Berg, Kdr III/JG26, probably May 1940 at Chievres AB/Belgium.

  • Messerschmitt Me 109E-4  Kdr III/JG26, period and location unknown.

  • Messerschmitt Me 109G-6 (W. Nr. 411960) flown by Hpt. Franz Dorr, Kdr. III/JG5, middle of May 1945 Gossen AB/Finland.

  • Messerschmitt Me 109G-14/AS, flown by Uffz.  Maj. Wolfgang "Lumpi" Hudsdorfer of 2/JG300 in September 1944 at Esperstedt AB/Germany.

Each plane has some sort of artwork either on the tail...nose of the side of the fuselage near the cockpit.  The artwork varies, but one of them has a Duchshund dog with a B-17 in it's mouth.  Two of the planes have spirals on the prop hubs and these are included as decals.

The quality of these decals is of very good quality.  The decals themselves are clearly printed and in perfect register.  Some decals come in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration.

This decal sheet has a very pleasing variety of aircraft camo and artwork.  The selection of artwork is a hoot to see.

You can purchase these decals either directly from Lifelike Decals at fax number is +81-3-5680-6733, and e-mail is lifelike@eos.ocn.ne.jp. or from HobbyLink Japan.
