This new decal sheet from Zotz Decals includes markings for 10 different B-57 Canberras.....some with noseart.  There is noseart on 6 of these aircraft including 2 aircraft with sexy noseart.  This decal sheet includes 3 distinct camo schemes and I was quite fascinated as I read the history of the aircraft featured on this decal sheet.

  • B-57G  Ser # 53-3931 13 BG, 8 TFW, Ubon, Thailand in December 1970 with noseart of the Squadron mascot "Oscar" (Grim Reaper skeletal figure carrying a large scythe).  This aircraft was lost in combat over Laos in late 1970.

  • B-57G  Ser # 53-3877 4424 CCTS, 1 TFW, MacDill AFB, Florida in September 1970.

  • B-57B  Ser # 52-1592 "Liz+3 III" 8 BS, Danang, S. Vietnam in 1965 with script artwork of "Liz+3 III", which was a tribute to the pilots wife and his 3 kids.  This aircraft was in highly polished bare metal.

  • B-57B  Ser # 52-1586 "Cong Buster" 8 BS/35 TFW, Phan Rang AB, Vietnam in November 1966 with noseart of  "Cong Buster" and SEA paint scheme.

  • B-57B  Ser # 53-3908 "Miss MiNuki" 8 BS/6252 TFW, Danang AB, Vietnam in January 1966.  This aircraft was in bare metal with noseart of a naked redhead and the script "Miss MiNuki" and mission markings.

  • B-57B  Ser # 53-3906 8 BS/6252 TFW, Danang AB, Vietnam in March 1966.

  • RB-57E  Ser # 55-4245 Det. 1/6250 CSG Patricia Lynn Program, Ton Son Nhut Airport, Vietnam in November 1966.  Noseart includes a Bat holding a camera and overall black paint scheme for night infrared photo ops.

  • B-57B  Ser # 53-3877 "Hell's Angel" 8 BS/35 TFW, Phan Rang AB, Vietnam in June 1967 with noseart of  female devil holding a pitch fork.  This aircraft had SEA paint scheme on top and black on the underside.

  • B-57G  Ser # 52-1580 "Cherry Bomber" 13 BS/8 TFW, Ubon AB, Thailand in February 1971 with noseart of  female devil holding a pitch fork and SEA paint scheme on top and black on the underside.

  • B-57B  Ser # 53-3888 13 BS/405 TFW ADVON 1, Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam in February 1965.  This aircraft was in bare metal and made history on February 19 1965 when it was the first US jet bomber to drop bombs in combat.

This is a great decal sheet with a massive selection of aircraft, camo schemes and markings.  This is definitely going to be a popular decal sheet for anyone planning on adding a 1/48 B-57 Canberra to their display case.
