Turkey has a very
active modelling community and this new decal sheet from Twobobs
is a very exciting sheet indeed. This decal sheet features the Turkish Air
Force F-4E Kara Sahin (Black Hawk) Phantom in 1/72 scale. This particular
paint scheme was designed by Ömer Erkmen and he is an avid modeller and has
been a adding his models to the ARC gallery section since May 2004.
Ömer was also the one that provided all the reference material to Twobobs to
make this decal sheet possible. This decal sheet includes ne complete set
of markings for the Kara Sahin Phantom from the Turkish Air Force. This
special anniversary scheme was applied during the spring/summer of 2009.
This aircraft is
devoid of most stencil data and features an almost flat black paint scheme.
And this is one
great looking jet and sure to be an eye catcher in any display case or on any
model show table.

The decals are
beautifully printed by Microscale on 2 decal sheets and they include the large
grey wing decals as well as the Hawk markings for the side of the fuselage.
You also get a full set of formation light decals.
The instructions are
clear and include 4 views of this aircraft as well as 10 small walkaround photos
of this jet. Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM, Humbrol,
Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics. This instruction sheet also provides the
history of the F-4 Phantom in Turkish service.
Recommended Kits:
I was very excite d
to hear of the release of this decal sheet by Twobobs as US jets in foreign
service are always an interesting topic among modellers. And if you build
in 1/72 scale, have no fear, Twobobs also has released this sheet in 1/72 scale.
This sheet is available through http://www.twobobs.net/
and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from
Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.
