This new set of metal landing gear by Maestro
Models Conversions from Rebell
Hobby is designed for the
1/48 SAAB 37 Viggen and includes main and nose landing gear. You also get
a pair of main gear doors to attached to the main gear legs. You will need
to drill some holes in these metal parts before you begin assembly. You
will also need to clean up any minor flash (I saw very little on the review
samples before me) and you will need to sand the parts to make them nice and
smooth for better finished results. Assembly is described with
photos in the instructions.

In general.....landing gear are complicated and
detailed parts of
an aircraft with plenty of parts and hoses etc. So be prepared for a bit
of work to build these and get them looking the best they can. The
finished items will reward you if you take your time and do a good
job.
The instructions are complicated and required a
bit of careful studying before I figured everything out. You'll also need
some pieces of wire to hold these together and add further detail, but that is
explained in the instructions.
These are neat items and the fact they contain
separate parts you need to assemble will give you the higher level of detail you
crave. These will be a very nice improvements over the kit landing gear.
