I have a home-based sewing business
called All Occasion Aprons www.alloccasionaprons.com
and some of the aprons I sew are Aviation Print Aprons.
My business has been featured on
three local TV stations and newspapers, the aprons I sew are a cotton print,
sewn onto canvas, which makes them very durable and protective, with three
pockets along the bottom. Each adult size apron is $19.95
These aprons have two uses for scale
modelers.
-
The first is to wear the apron
to protect your clothes from painting spills while doing detail painting and
airbrushing.
-
The second use is demonstrated
by a well known and well respected ARC'er Kelly Quirk. He attaches the
bottom of the apron to his work bench and when he sits down he put the neck
strap of the apron around his neck. This creates a near fool proof way
to capture small parts that would otherwise be lost in the carpet.
Below is a photo of Kelly's workbench in a photo he posted on the ARC
forums. (Photo used here with the permission of Steve Bamford)
They are available in "Aviation
Theme Prints" which are great for aviation gifts, RC Events, or
any event involving food. My husband is in the Iowa City Aerohawks RC
club and a small plane pilot, which is where I came up with the
idea.
I have included pictures of two
prints here, please let me know if you would be interested. Thanks.
