This new resin set from
Cutting
Edge Modelworks will permit you to convert the upgrade the 1/32 Tamiya
F-4E kit to an F-4E(S) Peace Jack Nose. This set can also be used with the
Tamiya F-4J kit. This is the enlarged recce nose built on an Israeli F-4E
fighter airframe to contain the HIAC-1 (LOROP) camera. This set is based on
recent technical data and photos that have become available. The clear
resin windows are a treat to behold......ultra clear and beautifully cast.
The conversion is
very straight forward but it will require you to cut off the nose along panel lines and use the resin parts in it's place. Pretty straight
forward....but make sure your X-Acto knife has a sharp blade. From
there you build the nose and glue it into place.
Note that if
you use the Tamiya F-4J, you will have to replace the Navy cockpit with an Air
Force cockpit. You CAN use the slotted stabilators in the F-4J kit, as this F-4E
had them.

Resin casting
is of a very high quality and all the detail is very well done with no air
bubbles. This
new resin set from Cutting
Edge Modelworks will be a welcome set for those wishing to convert their
1/32 Tamiya F-4E to a Recce version.
I would like to
thank Cutting Edge
Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
