Two Bobs Aviation Graphics

AH-1W Cobra decal sheet

1/35 scale product #35001

Review by Steve Bamford

--------------------

It's not a common event when the Two Bobs release a chopper decal sheet...so when they do it's worth looking over.  This decal sheets comes in 1/48 and 1/35....today I'll review the 1/35 scale version of this decal sheet.

This decal set contains markings for 13 different Cobras.  They include some Desert  Storm Cobras with kill markings as well as the low viz gray Cobras with various artwork.  Two have big dark gray cobras painted on the side of the fuselage.  Another has nose art for a scantily clad angel.  Another has a sharks mouth....still another has a sharks mouth with one of the teeth being gold in color.  There is one Cobra on this decal sheet that is quite interesting as far as the nose art.  That is the Cobra with the scantily clad Angel on the nose.  This particular Cobra was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.

The fact it had a scantily clad female on it nose is an interesting footnote for me considering the oppression of women in Afghanistan during the Taliban regime.

Also included is a write up describing the Cobra squadrons that were deployed to Operation Desert Shield and later Operation Desert Storm.

These decals are printed by Microscale and the quality is first class as we've all come to expect from the Two Bobs.  There are 2 complete sets of stencils included in this decal set.  The variety of artwork and kill markings included in this decal sheet is another strong point of course.

The decal sheet is proving to be a very popular seller for Two Bobs, but considering the interesting artwork on these various Cobras and the huge variety of cobra's to choose  from....well it's no wonder this Cobra decal sheet is selling so well.
