1/72 Revell AG North American (Mustang III)

Hello everybody. Once again I’m here with my last model.  It is the 1/72 Revell P-51B Mustang or Mustang III (I think it was called this way in RAF service). It is a very nice and easy kit to build. Most of the parts fit very well. Kit comes with decals for two versions: USAF version and RAF version, I used the RAF version.

I drilled the kit’s cannons and added hypodermic needles to replace them. I also added some wire to simulate hydraulic brake pipes on the landing gears. I used Model Master paints, RAF Dark Green, RAF Ocean Grey for the up side and Medium Sea Grey for the down side.

Decals react very well with Micro Set and Micro Sol, I just had a little problem applying the shark mouth decal, but finally got a good result with a lot of Micro sol.  I applied a light wash with some acrylic paints and sealed the model with Testors Dullcote. Thanks for watching!!
