Foo Fighters

Silly Week 2009

FOO FIGHTERS buzzing the FLAK EATER!! This Hasegawa B-17 is in 1/72 scale, so I guess the foo fighters are too. Made from old ball bearings carefully super bonded to their attachments, they have been a bit of a conversation piece. I made them a few years ago, inspired by a TV show on the subject. They were not difficult to construct. The only tricky part was getting a good balance on the triple " mobile " set. (and taking the old bearings apart )

F. Y. I. The single is 6 mm in diameter, the triple set is 4,6 & 8. They are suspended on 2 lb. test fishing line with a .8 mm clear plastic rod attaching the triple set.
