--------------------

This is the Douglas DC-2 "Capitan Vara del Rey". Before the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, this plane was property of the "LAPE" (Lineas Aereas postales de España)  Spanish Postal Airlines, but when  the war began this plane was sent to Sevilla from Madrid to attack the rebel forces in the North of Africa, but Captain Vara del Rey make useless one of the plane´s engine, finally the rebels captured this plane and it was used as bomber and the official plane of General Franco during the war.

This model is made from the box, no photo etched or scratch built items. This is the color scheme used:
Brown: Tamiya X-9 (Brown)
Green: Humbrol 102 (Army Green)
Grey: Gunze H-70 (RLM02 Gray)
Lower part of the plane - Blue:  Gunze  H-67 (RLM65 Light Blue).

The undercarriage is painted with Humbrol 56 and Alclad II Chromo and the helix with Alclad II Aluminium and black XF-1 Tamiya.
The decals are very thin, and they adapt very well, of course I used Micro Set and Micro Sol to fix the decals.
Making the model has some problems to enclose some parts of the plane as the union of the fuselage and the wings, using putty and sand this parts can be adapted, other problem is that I had to reduce the wide of the interior of the plane to close the fuselage.
