1/48 Hasegawa Zero

I picked this model up for 10 dollars. It was handpainted until I can pick up an airbrush for my more expensive models. I initially started by painting the early version but as that didn't come out too good, I decided to go for the later green scheme. I used Tamiya acrylics. For panel lines I used the charcoal/soap and water method after the first finish was put on.

Used charcoal powder for weathering. A bit too much finisher was added for the second coat which added that white effect to the wings but in the end I think it actually worked for it instead of against it. The legs did not want to hold too good but after a few days they seem to have stabilized. The only part I'm not too fond of is the window lines which I rushed as they were the last thing I did, and as such they came out much too thick.  Overall not bad for ten dollars and a hand painted job.
