I recently bought my first digital camera, so this is kind of a ¨test subject¨ model.  I'll provide a better background in future articles, as I'm just getting started with my camera.

This one is my version of the He-162 A-2  coded ¨White 5¨ flown by Hauptmann Helmut Künnecke, Staffelkapitan of 1./JG1. The model was built basically OOB, with just some minor part replacements, and some extra tubing and wiring.

I added some seatbelts (made from alumminum can) and harnesses (some regular lighting cable), besides that some extra wiring was added on the upper part of the front panel.  For the engine (it looks very spartan if you build it just OOB), I checked some for adding some extra wiring and some styrene tubing to make it look more realistic.

Some copper wiring was added to the landing gears to simulate brake lines, also some wiring on the loop antenna, as seen in some reference pictures.

The overall painting was the standard RLM 76/81/82 from Model Master Enamel, after that some weathering was added with oil paints and pastel chalks.
