This is my 1/32 Trumpeter
A-10A . To complete this bird, I had to take something from other models and also
use an aftermarket cockpit. Details in the kit cockpit are not so good, so I ordered another cockpit from Blackbox.

Armaments are really bad and
ugly. In the beginning, I planned to order some resin parts for the armament, but fortunately
Academy released their F/A-18 with plenty of weapons, which are the same type
that the A-10s are equipped with. Beside these things, I did not do many modification to this model. Totally straight out from the box.
Sidewinder missiles, Maverick missiles and GBU bombs are from the Academy F/A-18.
MK-82 bombs are from the Tamiya F-14A. TERs are from a Tamiya F-4 Phantom II.

As for the ECM Pod, I took another one from
the Revell Monogram F-4E with some modification as the original one from the box is so
ugly.

I used Enamel paints from Tamiya and Testor. For the decal, I applied the basic stencils only as it
is really good, smooth and thin. For other insignia, I ordered a separate decal from Camdecals to make my bird particular. This
aircraft is flown by Capt Bob Swain who shot down
1 Iraqi Helicopter during Desert Storm Operation. |

I applied weathering with drybrushing, washing and pastel. After finishing
the weathering and applying the decals, I sprayed it overall with Matt Cote from
Humbrol and the last layer is Gloss Finish was with Model Master.
