Here is my double build using the very nice Hasegawa 1/72 F-104G Starfighter as a basis. The kit includes good surface detail and a pretty well detailed cockpit, where I only replaced the ejection seats with Aires items. Also the flaps were dropped. Building the fuselage, and mating the 4 parts that it consists of, requires some careful work - and so do the intakes. Other than that a pretty straightforward build.

I used an old Microscale decal sheet, that includes both of these two versions: a RoCAF (or Taiwan) AF and a Greek AF aircraft, both from the 60's-70's time frame. Some of the technical stencils were also taken from the Hasegawa decals. Paints used are all Humbrol enamels, combined with several shades of Alclad for the aluminium gears and to replicate the typical RoCAF metal exhaust area. I used a bit of pre- and post-shading to get some variations in the colours on both aircraft. Panel lines were highlighted with MIG enamel washes and some oil spot washes and streaking completed the job.

Enjoy the photos.
