This model is EF/A-18+ Hornet (E for España not Electronic) from an Hasegawa standard box 1/72 F/A-18A. I decided to show this bird under Spanish Air Force unit colors seen in 2016 at Zaragoza airbase with an attractive paint scheme used for unit 25th birthday (1985-2010). The unit received first Hornet in 1986. I used decals sheet from an
Polish small manufacturer named Model Maker, decals are accurate and not easy to fit particularly painted tigers on tails. I followed Model Maker instructions regarding colors for upper/lower light grey camouflage Gunze acrylic FS36320 H307 and Humbrol satin black 85 for inner tails. Landing gears, inner doors are white Gunze acrylic H316 with red edges H327.
I had the opportunity to see in real this plane at Zaragoza Spain for 2016 NATO Tiger meet (see my picture noisy take off).

I added a light wearing with black juice to show engraved panels, I opened the canopy and airbrake and I show the plane with smooth configuration with only a centerline tank.
It was always a pleasure to build a colorful model jet particularly a tiger meet player and what ever the nation.
ALA15 unit was a full NATO Tiger member since 2008. Every year there is a contest for the best painted aircraft.
Next NATO tiger meet will be in France in 2019, my country and I hope to go there.
Tiger! Tiger! the war cry
