This is a nice and well-fitting kit by Trumpeter of a subject that I think is an example of an aircraft that oozes purposefulness. Thud kits have been made by many manufacturers, and Trumpeter's example is a good one, though it does have a few (minor) issues.

Rivets are a bit excessive, but the overall level of detail is very nice. The kit is somewhat over-engineered, with a lot of fiddly bits, and some unnecessary parts breakdown. Other than that, it's a pleasure to build. Hardly any filler required, and only the bare minimum of sanding and shaping.

The decals are nice and hassle-free, settling down well with Micro-Sol. I painted it in one of the supplied box schemes, painted using Italeri acrylic paints from their 'US Vietnam War' set, and finished it with Liquitex satin varnish.
