This is the MiG killer of all MiG Killers. Used by several crews to obtain no less then 6 victories over the skies of Viet Nam. Notice on the splinter plate it has 5 of its eventual 6 kills. Perhaps THIS is how she looked the day it made #6.

The kit is the Hasegawa right out of the box, except the missiles. Decals are a very, very old Superscale sheet. Which, surprisingly worked just fine. This sheet must be around 30 years old by now. The missiles are from an Academy kit I finished recently. I figured the Academy decals would work better then the really old Hasegawa sheet the model came with..I was wrong. Lots of touch ups. The in flight Sidewinder is made with a paper clip wedged into the aft end of the missile. Then the curved part of the paper clip glued under the Hasegawa missile rack for stability The cotton of course hides the paper clip.

This model has been on my to build pile for some years now. All my 1/72 kits go bye-bye, replaced by 1/48..and sometimes 1/32. Check that little guy out, the same 30 year old Superscale sheet and ALL that dust!!
