Hello, everyone. This is my Egg-Corsair, I made about 5 years ago. I hope you like it.

Hasegawa’s Egg-Corsair is a well known kit, but I couldn’t agree the shaping of it as a caricature of F4U. So I made some “correction” on prop, nose, fuselage, wing, and tail-fin.

On that way, I asked some helps of other kits as following;

  • Pilot-Figure and Instrument panel Decal: 1/48 F4U-1 (Tamiya)

  • Front-end of the Engine-Cowling; 1/48 F4U-1 (Otaki)

  • Engine; Quickboost

  • Propeller and Tail-Landing Gear; 1/72 F4U-1 (Tamiya)

  • Marking; AMD’s 72-082

I painted the emblems of VMFA-321 “Hell’s Angels” on both sides by hand in much-larger size than 1/72 decal. It is, of course, because they are too charming to keep in shrunk size. J

I show more pictures of “making” on my website below. Despite all of the article is written only in Japanese, I hope again you would enjoy the pics there.
