This is the 1/72 scale KC-135 from Italeri. The model is mostly out of box with the exception of Caracal Decals and MV lenses for the landing lights. The kit was a real challenge to build due to very soft plastic and warped fuselage halves and wings. All sections of the plane had to be reinforced to prevent future stress cracks and wing warp.

All the antennas and exterior details were scratch built because none were provided in the kit. Home made decals were used inside the engine cowling to simulate bolt detail. Caracal decals provide all the state ANG markings and Maine ANG was used on this plane. Model Master Acrylics were used on the air frame and Alclad was used on the engine exhausts.

The kit is basic and needs extra detail and "TLC" but can be made into a good representation.
