Hello,

It is quite time since my last submission. But I prepared something special. I did not find similar things on any competition or in any forum on international web. May be I was searching incorrectly.. Who knows. Never the less here is background.

Sonderkommando "ELBE" was the name of a World War II Luftwaffe task force assigned to bring down Allied bombers by ramming German aircraft into them mid-air, with the desperate strategic aim of causing the Royal Air Force and the United States Army Air Forces to halt or at least reduce their air campaign against Germany.

Inspiration was documentary series – The Dog Fighters – Luftwaffe Deadliest mission.

I selected story of B-24 SACKTIME from 467 Bomber group. Aircraft was rammed by Heinrich Henkel. He survived the attack and crew of SACKTIME as well.

Many thanks to Andy Wilkinson and Chris Collins with details from archive about SACKTIME and operations on 7th April 1945

Happy modeling everyone
