This is the Kinetic CF-116D (F-5B) Freedom Fighter. This kit is far and away superior to the earlier Classic Airframes kit. It builds much closer to a "Hasegawa" style kit then say a garage company all resin kit. Advantages are plastic to which glue will actually bond and kit parts that look much closer then the competition.

The colour scheme for this kit is the standard training scheme used for much of the CF-116Ds career. In this case with 433 squadron out of CFB Bagotteville Quebec. Later in its career 116813 received ghost style aggressor markings in the service of 419 squadron in Cold Lake Alberta.

While I built a couple more Classic airframes Freedom Fighters since this was done I do not intend to buy any more of the lesser kit. Kinetic rules the sky when it comes to build-ability for this kit. In the background of one photo you see 116820 which was later rebuilt into an aggressor after a lot of repair.
