1/48 Academy AH-64A Apache

Hello this is my AH-64A Apache. This is my first helicopter I've built and it was an enjoyable build.  The kit fit together very well and there was not a lot of filling and sanding required.  I used Eduard's photoetch for the cockpit and the main gun was not movable, so I made it moveable which was quite easy to do. :)

I used Tamiya & Humbrol Paints and also Vallejo Varnishes & had to experiment to get the grey camo shades right, I also used my usual weathering techniques (artist oils, washes) to get the light weathering effect I was after.

Thanks for having a look at my Apache :) I'm going back to working on my 1/48 B-29 that I have been working on & off for the past year. More of my work coming soon. :)
