When I was a kid in the late 1960's Kellogg’s Cornflakes had a series for an airport diorama. On the rear of the boxing
you could build buildings out of the card board and inside there was a blister with little airport equipment as a plastic kit. Not only that
I turned into a cornflake within short time, I also love all that equipment that can be found on an airport since those days.

Skunkmodels has released several ground equipment
models in different scales. An American tow tug “Harlan” has been released as well in quarter scale.
The kit contains 2 Tractors, 2 tow bars and loaned one weapons trailer from another kit. This trailer is highly recommended, but should not be discussed here as it came with an own release.
The tractor is very simple and also the quality of the parts is not as high as other kits from SW. Parts have been broken or bended in the author’s issue. There are neither clear parts nor decals. However, it makes into a nice little model.
As always, color instructions suck. What color to paint? To give You an answer, a color chip of USAF vehicle is enclosed in this review with according FS numbers:
-
FS 1 1 136 Insignia Red
-
FS 1 3 538 Chrome Yellow
-
FS 1 3 670 Lemon Green
-
FS 2 4 052 USMC Green
-
FS 1 5 045 Strata Blue
Attention, the dark green is the only semi-gloss one.
Since it is impossible (to me) to photograph or even scan different colors in a true way, there are also pictures from different USAF vehicle. I.e. for sure You have seen a vehicle or equipment in Lemon green, so with the help of these pictures You should be able to recall those colors from Your memory.
