Between 1965 to 1969, RAF 33 Squadron became a Bloodhound surface-to-air missile unit at RAAF Butterworth, Malaysia. The Bloodhound was located at the east end of the old east-west runway, comprised of four Missile
Launch Control Posts (LCP) and eight missiles (for each LCP and Missile Section) on their own launcher.

This is the Ancient Airfix kit of Bloodhound Mk1, not the Mk2 that 33 Sqn flew in Butterworth, the mold was dated back to 1960, despite the age of the mold, this has been an enjoyable build, and I added a simple diorama base with some Airfix’s figures.
Enjoy and greetings from Malaysia.
