This kit needs no introduction.  Anyone who build this kit knows how much it takes to turn this kit into a decent replica of the real thing.  The same goes to me, but I didn't put much effort into detailing the kit's cockpit even though a replacement cockpit are available.  I simply put two pilot figures `borrowed` from the Hasegawa F-16 kits and slightly modified them into different position.  Since the engraved panel lines are a bit deep, I decided to fill most of the panel lines and rescribed some of them especially areas around the wings.  Other modifications include replacing the gear doors with styrene sheets cut into shape and replacing the windscreen.  Also the kit's clear part is too thick and suffers from heavy engraving like the rest of the kit so I replaced them with homemade ones.  Unfortunately I forgot to install few small details here and there, but I realized that it was a bit too late..and I am too lazy to get it done.

This aircraft represents a small batch of 20 aircraft ordered by The Malaysian Government back in March 1966 in order to fulfilled the requirement in `COIN` role.  Modifications include an uprated engine, additional hardpoints for external stores as well as chin radome.  Against the norm I decided to modify the serial number to FM1129 in stead of FM1126 after I found an old picture of FM1129.  The kit decals perform well even without the use of decal setting solution.  Then everything was sealed with Gunze clear coat that gave a nice satin finish.

Overall I am happy with the result.  It`s not 100% correct, but looks like `Tebuan` enough for me.
