1/72 Aeropoxy Soko J-22 Orao

The Soko J-22 Orao is my favourite AC of all time.   It is locally produced in the SFRJ (Socialistic Federative Republic Of Yugolsavia) as a close air support aircraft.  This means that you can't find a plastic kit for this rare aircraft.  The only solution is the Aeropoxy Resin J-22 Orao from Serbia.  However almost at the same time with this kit on the market appeared another resin kit from Croatia that I also have in my stash.

One of the first steps I had to do was to scratchbuild the cockpit because this kit had a very spartan cockpit.  I only added a resin MB MK.10 seat and the windshield and canopy ware scratchbuilt in order to make the opened cockpit.  This kit is not for rookies and I only recommend it for experienced modellers.

The whole kit was painted using Humbrol and MM enamels.  The decals used are from the spares box.  I hope you like my Orao.
