A friend of mine requested an A-10 for his desktop.  I knew he would like whatever I built for him, so this was a total stress free build.

I completed it OOB with the exception of the candy wrapper mylar on the HUD, the pilot scrounged up from the spares box, and of course the base.  Total build time for everything was 21 hours (not including drying/curing times.  This was absolutely the most fun I ever had on a kit since I started to get "serious" with them.  I am so glad that I re-found how much fun it is to build.

The base is just a piece of scrap shelving and the square brass tube mounting is great since it prevents the model from spinning on the pole.  I got the idea from "scalespot.com"  The plane is mounted with a slight right bank and incline to show off the "Aim Hard(er)" on the side of the plane, which is an inside joke with my friend.  Drawing it on just adds that personal touch.
